As of 1st October 2012, Air Asia's domestic flights will depart from Don Muang airport (as do those of Nok Air and Orient Thai). So, if you have an onward domestic flight, you will need to transfer from Bangkok's  international airport Suwannaphumi to the old Bangkok airport, Don Muang. You should leave a good 3 hours for the transfer.

Domestic flights on the nation's flag carrier, Thai Airways, will continue to fly out of Suwwanabhumi airport.
